Performing
arts have always been an interest and hobby of Sophie. She has previously
attended acting, singing and dancing classes at Boden Studios, which involved
participating in many performances including work as a supporting actress
for the BBC. She is particularly passionate about dance, and attends street
jazz and hip-hop sessions at Pineapple Studios in London.
Directing credits include: First ever public performance of The Eighth Square (Nov 2005, Wiltshire Studios); Checkpoint Charlie (2004). Acting/dancing credits include: Kiss Me Kate (2005); Checkpoint Charlie (2004); Narrow Alleys (with Alex Hillman & Clover Tucker, 2004); The Threepenny Opera (2004). Writing credits include: Gwen, a short play (2005). Sophie holds a BA (Hons) in Creative Arts and Media Studies, and gained a First Class grade for her undergraduate dissertation, analysing cultural representations of femininity in British and American television drama. Many thanks go to Sophie for all her work on the first version of The Eighth Square. |
