Being
an archetypal book-worm since the year dot, it has been an ambition
of Matthew’s to become an author/screenwriter/playwright, and
hence, aged 21 he is extremely proud to have had his fourth musical
performed in a professional theatre.
Acting credits include: The Red Knight in the abridged presentation
of The Eighth Square (Nov 2005); Robert Jackson in Amen,
a short play by James Adamson (2005); Gareth in Gwen, a short
play by Sophie Raeburn (2005); Kurt in Checkpoint Charlie (2004);
Reverend Kimball in Brecht/Weill’s The Threepenny Opera
(2004); Beyond the Grave (2004); Wes in Oak Isle College
(2003); Room 10 a short film by Russell Hill (2003); The
Man Who (2003); Mobius (2002).
Matthew holds a BA (Hons) Creative Arts with English and has an interest
in developing techniques of representation on stage as can be seen in
his undergraduate dissertation subject - based on a study of the theatrical
works of Samuel Beckett; and too in the book of The Eighth Square.
Matthew dedicates The Eighth Square to his fiancé, Amelia.
